Meet Haru, a handsome 2-year-old, 65 lb goofball with a heart of gold. This sweet boy is the perfect mix of playful and chill. He loves to play, especially tug-of-war with his rope toys, but he’s also great at settling down. If he sees you’re busy or working, he’ll happily lie down nearby and relax. He’s very smart, learns quickly, and adapts well to routines.
Haru is a total people-lover and does great with other dogs. When meeting someone new, he can get a bit excited and jump around at first, but after about 10–20 minutes, he usually calms down once he’s familiar. He does well with kids, though he can be a little nosey during the first few interactions. He also does well with cats and other dogs.
He’s fully crate trained and actually loves his crate; it’s his safe space. He goes in on his own at night as part of his routine and even takes daytime naps in there. He’s also house-trained and does well with a consistent potty schedule.
Inside the home, he’s a dream. He doesn’t bark indoors (except for the occasional howl if a fire alarm goes off), and he rarely barks at other dogs on walks; he just seems excited and ready to make friends. One of his favorite things in the world is belly rubs, and he’s the type of dog who will follow you everywhere… yes, even to the bathroom. If you love a loyal, curious shadow, he’s your guy. He loves tug-of-war with rope toys, belly rubs, playing with other dogs, and being close to his people.
Ideal Home
Haru's perfect home would be with people who will give him lots of love, attention, and companionship. He’d do great with an active family or individual who enjoys playtime but also appreciates a dog who can relax and hang out. A home where he’s treated as a true family member would mean everything to him.
