Meet Orion, a confident, intelligent, and adventurous dog with a big personality and an even bigger love for the world around him. Orion originally entered training as a service dog candidate and quickly showed that he is extremely capable when it comes to learning tasks. He is smart, curious, and has a lot of talent. However, Orion has also made it clear that he would rather live life as an active companion than as a working service dog. He has strong opinions, a bold spirit, and a deep interest in everything happening around him. Orion is the kind of dog who wants to explore, observe, sniff, investigate, and be part of the action. He has made progress with leash walking and checking in with his handler, and he continues to do best with people who give him clear guidance, structure, and positive reinforcement.

Ideal Home

Orion would likely thrive in an active home that enjoys training, enrichment, outdoor adventures, and helping a smart dog use his brain. Because Orion can become very interested in dogs, small animals, cars, and exciting movement, he will do best with adopters who are comfortable managing him on leash and helping him make good choices in busy environments.
