Meet Ziva! Ziva is a 3-year-old, 80-pound Rottweiler with a heart of gold, just waiting for the right person to discover her sweet nature. Her previous owner sadly passed away, and Ziva found herself living outdoors for weeks, relying on the kindness of neighbors for food and company. Thankfully, she's now safe in a loving foster home and ready for her forever family. Ziva is a bit of a "slow burn," meaning she needs time to warm up and feel comfortable, but we promise she is absolutely worth the wait! She's fully vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed.
Ideal Home
Ziva would thrive in a home with an experienced Rottweiler owner who understands her need for time to adjust. She would do best as the only dog in the household or with an adopter experienced in slow introductions to resident dogs. Ziva is cat-friendly and has lived with multiple cats, showing only curiosity and no aggression. However, due to her need to warm up to people and sensitivity to being touched near her ears or tail, we believe she would do best in a home without children. She has a moderate to high energy level, enjoying walks and playtime but also happy to relax.
Ongoing Health
Ziva is up-to-date on all her vaccinations and is spayed.
Training & Support
Ziva is a puller on the leash and would benefit from continued leash training to walk calmly beside her person. She is fully potty trained and free-roams the house without issue. Ziva exhibits some resource guarding, so she should be fed separately to ensure a stress-free mealtime. She is reactive to other dogs, bikers, and joggers on walks, so continued positive reinforcement and management will be key. While she sometimes uses her crate, she has not been crated extensively.
