Meet Venus! This 5-year-old spayed female Staffordshire Terrier/Lab mix, weighing around 45 lbs, is a truly special girl. Venus is incredibly sweet and affectionate, the type of dog who will gently rest her head on your lap and gaze at you like you're her whole world. She's calm and people-oriented, happy to match your energy, whether that means relaxing on the couch or joining you for an outdoor adventure. She absolutely loves to play and enjoys zoomies in the backyard, especially with a canine companion! Venus also adores toys and her humans, often preferring to play with them over other dogs. Her goofy charm shines through with her excited little "woos" and her absolute delight in playing in water – from kiddie pools to streams on a trail, she'll splash around with pure joy. She also rides wonderfully in the car, making her the perfect companion for road trips, park visits, or trail days.
Ideal Home
Venus would thrive in a home where she's truly part of the family. She would do best in a home without cats due to her strong interest in chasing them, or with very dog-savvy cats and a commitment to managing introductions carefully. While she hasn't met young children, her foster believes she could do well in a family with older, respectful children who understand boundaries and enjoy including her in their day-to-day fun.

Training & Support
Venus is fully house-trained, crate-trained, and trustworthy when left loose in the house. She is still working on leash manners and can pull some, but she is a quick learner and is very food motivated. She eats with enthusiasm and does best when fed separately using a slow feeder to prevent her from sneaking bites of other dogs' meals.

Transportation
Venus is currently being fostered in Woodinville, WA and is available for meet and greets with local adopters. For those outside Washington, out-of-state adoption is possible once an approved adopter is lined up. Transports run every few weeks and Venus will be on the next available transport once approved.
