Mo

Hi... I'm Mo (but my friends call me Mr. Moo).

I'm a 2-year-old Retriever mix, and I have a secret: once I trust you, I'll never let you out of my sight. I came from a scary past and battled two tick-borne illnesses, but my foster home has changed everything. I’ve gone from a dog who was too afraid to step forward to a total "Velcro dog" who just wants to be wherever you are. I'm not destructive at all and am happiest just chilling with my favorite bones. I'm affectionate, incredibly lovable, and a low-maintenance, laid-back guy.

Ideal Home

I'm looking for a patient family who appreciates a loyal companion always nearby. I don't need constant high-energy activity; I just want to continue learning how great life can be whether that's a walk outside or a cozy night on the rug by your feet. I would do best in a home with older kids who can respect my journey and give me a little structure. I would be my best self with a confident female dog who can show me the ropes.

Ongoing Health

I previously battled two tick-borne illnesses, but I'm now in recovery and doing well.

Training & Support

I'm both crate trained and potty trained! I already know my basic commands and am very treat-motivated. While I may take a minute to warm up to new faces, once I'm "all in," I'm your loyal sidekick for life. I enjoy the company of other dogs, especially those with similar play styles, and would love a relaxed female canine companion to hang out with.
