Baxter

Baxter is a 3-4 year old Yorkie mix weighing 16 pounds. He was surrendered to rescue because his previous owner kept him outside all the time. Now Baxter is enjoying life indoors and soaking up all the attention he can get! He is learning to use the doggy door and is crate trained at night. Baxter loves people and is eager to find a family to call his own.

Ideal Home

Baxter may do best as the only dog or with a less dominant canine companion, as he enjoys being the center of attention. He can be a bit food aggressive, so separate feeding will be necessary if there are other dogs in the home.

Ongoing Health

Baxter has been neutered and is up to date on his shots. He recently had a grooming session and is looking and feeling his best!

Training & Support

Baxter does bark, likely due to his past experience of being left outside. He is crate trained for nighttime. He will benefit from continued love and training to help him thrive in his new home.
