About Triton

Triton is a handsome boy with a unique charm! He came to us as a stray, a bit rough around the edges, but our rescue partners saw his potential and stepped in to get him cleaned up. It turns out Triton's slightly wobbly walk is due to a birth defect where both his femurs are curved, causing his knees to turn outward. Despite this, he gets around quite well and walks on his feet. However, due to the extra wear and tear on his knees, he already has arthritis and is on daily anti-inflammatories. While he may need a wheelchair down the road, he's mobile and happy for now. Triton isn't a big fan of long walks, but he absolutely adores belly rubs and being close to his people. He's a mellow dog with sweet bursts of excitement, especially when it's dinner time – his favorite! He enjoys playing with toys but has a tendency to eat them, so he needs chew bones instead of stuffies. Could Triton be the special companion you're looking for?
