Diesel is a charming 7-year-old Coton de Tulear, weighing about 15 lbs. He came to us with his AKC paperwork, and while in our care, he has been neutered, microchipped, and is current on all vaccinations and heartworm prevention. Diesel is a true velcro dog who loves to be close to his people and has a sweet personality. He knows a fun trick – "go find a toy" – and will happily fetch his favorite to initiate a game of tug. He's also a smart cookie who expects a treat after doing his business outside! He has good recall, especially when you call him "Puppy," and walks well on a leash. He's curious about cats and has been respectful when they've let him know they've had enough investigating. He also gets along wonderfully with all the dogs he's met here, regardless of their age or size.

Training & Support
Diesel is potty trained and uses belly bands to prevent marking, which he tolerates well. A significant concern is that Diesel can escalate to aggression if his growling is corrected. If he growls at a human and is told "no," he may lunge and has bitten twice. He also exhibits resource guarding with humans, though not with other animals. He knows when he's done something wrong and will go to his crate, but becomes aggressive if asked to go into the crate and the door is closed. He is fine if the door is left open. Aggression typically lasts about a minute before he returns to his sweet self.
