Raya Everly is a beautiful, thoughtful, and emotionally gentle Husky mix who is approximately 1 year old and weighs 48 lbs. She is a rescue dog, and while we cannot guarantee breed or age, her quiet nature and the way she observes the world before trusting suggest a deep well of gentle intelligence. Raya's story is one of quiet magic and earning trust, making her a uniquely rewarding companion for the right person. She's not one for boisterous affection but will calmly tolerate cuddles, and perhaps one day seek them out. Her greatest joys are routine, gentle coexistence, and the small victories of a relaxed body or a soft glance. She finds meaning in peaceful companionship, and her love may not be fireworks, but a steady, quiet glow.
Ideal Home
Raya thrives on routine and consistency. She would do best in a home that offers a calm and predictable environment. While she can peacefully coexist with other dogs, she prefers her own space and is happiest when other dogs respect her independent nature. She would be perfectly happy as the only dog in a home or with a mellow, low-energy canine friend who understands and respects her need for personal space and harmony over constant play.
Ongoing Health
Raya is a rescue dog, and like any rescue, her exact history is a mystery. All dogs receive comprehensive vetting, including DAPP vaccinations with boosters, Bordetella, and Rabies vaccines, multiple broad-spectrum deworming treatments, flea prevention, and a 12-month injectable heartworm preventative. She has also been tested for heartworm and treated if necessary. A health certificate deeming her healthy for travel is provided.
Training & Support
Raya is crate-trained and truly loves her crate as it is her safe place. She is fully potty-trained and has wonderful house manners. She is mellow and low-energy, enjoying short strolls and then happily napping. One of her cutest habits is her full-body stretch when she's let out of her kennel. While she doesn't seek out interaction, she responds well to gentle encouragement. Gaining her trust can be achieved through quality time, ear scratches, and of course, treats! She is particularly fond of cheese, French fries, and popcorn, taking treats very gently.

Transporation
Raya is currently in Texas. We facilitate adoptions nationwide using our rescue-run USDA-certified transport system, ensuring safe and comfortable travel with 24/7 care. Drop-off locations include WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, and Canada (with pick-up options in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT for Canadian adopters). You will be able to track her journey in real-time and receive photo updates. For adopters in the Greater Houston area, pick-up is required from our Texas-based property.
