Essie

Meet Essie, a fun-loving Labrador with a heart full of wags and a love for adventure! Essie was found as a stray but was quickly shown kindness by a couple who took her in before bringing her to Wags. She's a typical lab, playful, silly, and incredibly food-motivated – which has been a great motivator for her training! Essie adores a good game of fetch and enjoys car rides. She's a strong girl at 70lbs and is working on her leash manners, but her enthusiasm is contagious!

Ideal Home

Essie would thrive in a home that can keep up with her playful energy. She gets along wonderfully with kids of all ages and would likely do well with dogs of similar size and energy levels. However, she does not play nicely with small dogs.

Ongoing Health

Essie had some skin issues, likely from her time as a stray, but they have greatly improved with medication and regular baths. She is scheduled to be spayed this week.

Training & Support

Essie is learning leash etiquette and is eager to please, especially with the promise of a tasty treat! Her food motivation will be a great asset in her continued training.

Essie is located at Wags Inn Canine Charities in South Charleston, OH. Due to our adoption process, which includes a home visit, we require that you live within a 50-mile radius of WagsInn.
