Petunia

Meet Petunia! She's a fierce, loving, independent, and confident little Frenchie-Shar Pei-Pug mix who is just under 1 year old. Petunia came to us unable to walk properly due to a congenital spinal issue. While she doesn't require special care, she will always need to see a specialist for any future mobility concerns. She loves to chew and needs supervision to prevent choking. Petunia is crate-trained and lets you know when she needs to go potty. She enjoys short walks and can run, jump, hop, walk, and zoomie!

Ideal Home

Petunia would do best with someone who is home more frequently or works from home. She would love a home with no stairs. She is shy at first and takes time to warm up to new people, and she doesn't enjoy strangers.

Ongoing Health

Petunia has a congenital spinal issue that required an MRI/CT scan. She will always need to see a specialist in case of any future mobility concerns. She has also been diagnosed with potential airway issues and must be supervised around toys and anything she can fit in her mouth to prevent choking.

Training & Support

Petunia can sometimes be a bit of a bully with other dogs, so she needs someone who can provide gentle corrections. She does well with dogs her size or a tad bigger. She needs a crate or x-pen for her safety due to her chewing habits. We’re hopeful some of her puppy behavior will mellow out with time.
