Himari is a sweet and loving 10-month-old terrier mix who weighs about 22 lbs and is expected to reach around 33 lbs. She was born at the shelter after her pregnant mother was rescued. Himari is a playful and affectionate girl who enjoys running and playing with her dog friends. She's still learning to trust new people and can be a little shy and nervous initially, but with patience and understanding, her loving nature truly shines through.
Ideal Home
Himari would thrive in a home with families who have an open mind and heart for rescue animals, understanding their need for protection and education. Ideally, her new family will have experience with dog behavior and training, and possess a high level of tolerance and patience for rescued pups. It's important to realize that rescue dogs may have been traumatized and will need an adjustment period.
Ongoing Health
Himari has received her spay/neuter certificate, two DHPPI vaccines, a rabies vaccine, a Bordetella vaccine, and has been dewormed. She is microchipped and has a negative 4DX test and heartworm test certificate. She is on monthly preventive protection with Nexgard Spectra for fleas, ticks, and heartworm. She also has a health certificate and vaccination booklet.
Training & Support
It's important to note that Himari is not house-trained. As with many rescued animals, she may need time to adjust and may have been traumatized before arriving at the shelter. Patience and understanding are key, and her new family should be prepared to provide consistent guidance and positive reinforcement to help her succeed.
