Jolene is a beautiful and brave Retriever/Shepherd mix puppy. She was found with her mom and siblings on a Houston bayou and is now ready to find her forever home where she can play, cuddle, and grow up loved. Jolene is full of life, curious, and loves to wrestle, chase, and play tug-of-war with her dog friends. She thrives with a canine companion and feels most secure when she has another pup by her side. She is balanced and respectful with other dogs, and even lives peacefully with a cat, proving just how adaptable she is. While she may be cautious in new situations, Jolene adjusts quickly and is very eager to please. She’s easy to train, responds beautifully to gentle redirection, and listens well. She’s mostly potty trained, crate trained (though she may whine a little at first), and is comfortable being handled. Jolene is playful, social, and affectionate. She is gentle with toys and shares nicely. She is apartment adaptable with regular walks and has moderate energy, enjoying playtime but not needing endless exercise.
Ideal Home
Jolene would do well in just about any home, but she’d be happiest with another pup to grow and play with. Homes with children 10 years and over are recommended to ensure the best fit for both the pet and family.
