True to her name, she’s soft in both spirit and demeanor, winning over everyone she meets with her calm and affectionate personality. In playgroup, Velvet is social and enjoys the company of other well-mannered dogs—both male and female—matching their energy beautifully. This delightful girl is looking for a foster-to-adopt home to support her through heartworm treatment.

Ideal Home

Velvet is seeking a home without small pets or small dogs. She can be a bit shy with sudden, fast movements, so she’s hoping for a home with kids 10 and older who can give her the calm, kind companionship she deserves.

Ongoing Health

Velvet is currently undergoing heartworm treatment. This will be fully managed and covered by the shelter's veterinary team.

Training & Support

Velvet is working through some stranger danger on leash, and she will need adopters or fosters who can provide reassurance, patience, and steady guidance as she continues building confidence in new situations.
