Beyonce

Beyonce is a 3-year-old female dog, a charming Heinz 57 mix with a Husky, Lab, and Catahoula heritage. Weighing 37 pounds, she's fully vaccinated, microchipped, spayed, and ready to shower a loving family with affection. Beyonce was rescued from a hoarding situation and is currently thriving in a foster home, learning to trust and play by observing her canine companions. She's a mellow girl who enjoys daily playtime, the occasional zoomies, and loves to snuggle on the couch. Her foster mom describes her as one of the most LOVING dogs she's ever fostered, who loves hard once she bonds with you. Beyonce is smart, loyal, and can be incredibly calm and quiet.

Ideal Home

Beyonce would thrive in a home with at least one friendly resident dog, as she feels most comfortable and confident around her canine friends. A fenced yard is also ideal for her moderate activity level and love of running. She is wary of men and a female-led household will be the most successful environment for her. While she has done okay around a visiting child, she is not particularly playful with kids and takes time to warm up to new people. A quieter, more predictable household would help her feel safe and confident.

Training & Support

Beyonce is fully potty trained and does well when left to free roam. She is not a fan of crates. She is great about sharing her food, toys, and treats with her foster siblings. She is more confident on leash when accompanied by another dog. She is still learning to trust men, initially keeping her distance and showing fear. While she has improved and now barks when male family members enter, she will not take treats or allow petting from men.
