Princess is a delightful four-year-old spayed female Terrier Pittie mix, weighing in at 45-50 pounds. She has a heart full of love and energy to spare! Princess was once in a high-kill shelter, facing a grim fate simply because she was too energetic and happy – can you believe it? Thankfully, she was rescued and is now living her best life in a foster home, showing us just how much she's settled down when she feels safe and loved. She absolutely adores car rides and squeaky toys, and while she knows her commands, she gets a little too excited for attention sometimes. A gentle correction and a simple "sit" will have her complying beautifully. She's a happy, enthusiastic girl who needs an owner who will cherish her zest for life!
Ideal Home
Princess would thrive in an active home with older children, an active couple, or an active single person. She's not suited for apartment living and absolutely needs a fenced yard. She cannot be trusted off-leash without one. While she can be the only dog, she would also do well with a canine companion who can match her energy levels. Her exuberance might be a bit much for very small animals.
Ongoing Health
Princess is up-to-date on all her vaccinations, is heartworm negative, and is on monthly prevention for heartworm and fleas/ticks.
Training & Support
Princess is crate trained and house-trained. She's an avid chewer and will need plenty of appropriate chew toys, like KONGs and bully sticks, to keep her occupied and prevent her from chewing on inappropriate items. She also barks for attention, including when she needs to go potty or wants some love. She understands that sitting is the key to receiving pets and attention.
