Aspen (PKA Lucy)

Meet Aspen, a lovely approximately 2-year-old female German Shepherd mix who is ready to find her forever family! Aspen is a sweet girl who takes a little time to warm up to new people, but once she trusts you, she'll lean in for pets and start seeking connection. She's still adjusting to life after a recent medical recovery and time in boarding, and her full personality is blossoming as her routine stabilizes. Aspen previously did great with children, showing a gentle and loving demeanor. She's house-trained and enjoys running and being active when given space.

Ideal Home

Aspen is currently recommended for a single-dog household only. She needs an experienced adopter who can provide structure, consistency, and patience as she continues to settle into a home environment.

Ongoing Health

Aspen is spayed and up-to-date on vaccinations. Food guarding was observed while she was ill and should be re-evaluated now that she's healthy.

Training & Support

Aspen has shown reactivity and fixation on other dogs in her boarding environment, so she will need structure and guidance. She also needs time to warm up to new people. Aspen is expected to return to a moderate-high energy level.
