About Trix

Trix is an 8-month-old, 35-pound Pitbull mix with the sweetest, smartest soul, though she's a bit shy. She and her brother were surrendered to a shelter, and Trix, being more reserved, needed extra time in foster care to build her confidence. While she's initially fearful of new people, she has never shown any signs of reactivity. Instead, she prefers to find a safe space when unsure. Trix is incredibly observant and learns quickly; she figured out a doggy door in just a couple of days! With patience and time, she'll begin to soften, eventually showing her playful side and seeking comfort with her humans. She does well with other dogs after proper introductions and would likely thrive with a confident canine companion.

Ideal Home

Trix needs a home where someone is around often to help her build trust and confidence. A home with another confident dog would be ideal, but if not, adopters should have a solid plan for socialization and confidence-building.

Ongoing Health

Trix is spayed and up-to-date on vaccinations.

Training & Support

Trix is housebroken and loves her crate. She is currently learning to walk on a leash. While she has been around children and was shy at first, her history with cats is unknown. She is a quiet dog who requires patience, compassion, and commitment to help her overcome her shyness.
