Roscoe would thrive in a home with a fenced-in yard where he can patrol his kingdom and play to his heart's content. He's not really an apartment candidate and needs a little more elbow room. He's looking for a dog-savvy adopter who understands strong-willed breeds and enjoys the reward of working with a smart dog. Roscoe is a no-cat household kind of guy and is looking for a home where he doesn’t have to worry about any kitty roommates. He'd also be a perfect match for a goofy, medium to low-energy female dog who doesn't mind his vocal play style.
Ongoing Health
Roscoe has received all vetting, including DAPP with booster, Bordetella, and Rabies vaccines, multiple broad-spectrum deworming treatments, is neutered, and has received flea and heartworm prevention. He is up-to-date on his heartworm preventative injectable and has been tested for heartworm.
Training & Support
Roscoe is a gold star student when it comes to crate training and is officially a "co-pilot" for car rides, sitting like a perfect gentleman. He has been working with a professional trainer and is making incredible strides in his social skills, learning how to navigate the world and checking in with his handler. He's a dream on a leash for someone who knows how to give clear, firm directions and thrives on routine and clear expectations. While he can be a little stiff during first greetings with other dogs, he's ready to coexist once introductions are over. His vocal play style is just his way of saying he's having a blast!

Roscoe is located in Texas. We facilitate adoptions nationwide using our rescue-run USDA-certified transport system, ensuring every pet travels safely and comfortably with 24/7 care. Our transport includes drop-off locations in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI, and Canada (pick up in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT for Canadian adopters). You will have the opportunity to track their journey in real time, see photo updates, learn fun facts, and connect with fellow adopters and fosters through our private Facebook event page. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
