Sherbert

Sherbert is a handsome 1 1/2-year-old German Shepherd and White Swiss Shepherd mix, weighing around 70 lbs. He's a sweet, loyal, and goofy boy who loves making new friends, both human and canine. His big, adorable ears are always tuned in, and he's ready for any adventure you can throw his way! Sherbert has great energy and enjoys playtime with toys, but he also knows how to settle down by his humans' feet after a good romp. He's already crate and potty trained, and he'd be happy as an only dog or with a canine companion. He's good with kids and has done well with children of all ages.

Ideal Home

Sherbert would thrive in a home with a securely fenced yard where he can run and play. He would do best with older, dog-savvy children. His ideal family will have experience with large breeds and be committed to continuing his training. While he hasn't been cat-tested, he doesn't show a high prey drive, and a cat test can be arranged upon request.

Ongoing Health

Sherbert has been diagnosed with low-grade Megaesophagus. He is currently thriving and eating three smaller, rehydrated meals daily from an elevated food bowl. With continued dietary and lifestyle management, he is expected to have a normal life expectancy.

Training & Support

Sherbert is crate and potty trained and has demonstrated good behavior with the children in his foster home. He would benefit from continued training to build upon his foundation.
