Tom

Tom is a 16# male dog born on April 16, 2018. He and his brother, Jerry, were owner surrendered when their owner/breeder died. They had a rough life as outside breeder dogs but have since transitioned well to being indoor dogs. Tom is very sweet and well-tempered and would love a family that will spoil him with snuggles on the sofa, fluffy blankets, and car rides. He is a happy boy who enjoys sunning, napping, car rides, and snuggling. He is crate trained and pretty good in the house as long as he's kept on a schedule. He gets along with all the fosters and is pretty quiet and low maintenance. Tom should be okay as an only dog, with other dogs, or even with kitties. He can be adopted by himself or with his brother, Jerry.

Ongoing Health

Tom is vaccinated, dewormed, defleaed, neutered, and microchipped with lifetime registration. He was heartworm negative as of 12/17/2025 and is on monthly heartworm prevention.

Training & Support

Tom is working on leash training and building his confidence. He is crate trained and pretty good in the house as long as he's kept on a schedule.

• A good vet reference and heartworm prevention are required.
• After your application is processed and approved, a home visit and meet and greet will be scheduled.
• If there are any fencing issues, please ensure repairs are done prior to the home visit.
• Adoption is typically finalized the day after the home visit and meet and greet.

Transporation

Tom is located with our fosters. Out-of-area adopters would need to drive or fly in to meet and adopt him.
