Hawkeye and Remi are a bonded senior pair with big hearts, looking for a loving home to share their golden years.
Hawkeye is a 10-year-old Black Lab Mix who enjoys the simple pleasures in life. He takes his yard security duties seriously before settling down for a good rest. He is house-trained with a 6-7 hour schedule and appreciates a midday potty break. A fenced yard is a must for Hawkeye, as he prefers to do his business and explore at his own pace there. He walks well on a leash and is continuing to improve, with short walks helping to manage his arthritis. His arthritis is supported with a Cosequin supplement. Due to laryngeal paralysis, he should wear a harness instead of a collar, and heat should be avoided during mid-afternoon activities. Hawkeye is social and gets along well with other dogs and has shown no adverse reactions to cats.
Remi is an 8-year-old Border Collie Mix and the more active of the pair. He's intelligent, observant, and enjoys keeping an eye on his surroundings, especially in a fenced yard. He loves his people and enjoys resting his head on your lap in the evenings. Remi thrives on companionship and attention. He does well with other dogs, and while not officially tested with cats, his temperament suggests no immediate concerns. Remi is also learning leash skills and enjoys 2-3 short walks daily. He does best when crated in the morning to prevent occasional accidents.
Together, Hawkeye and Remi are a sweet, bonded pair who bring out the best in each other. Hawkeye's calm demeanor perfectly complements Remi's playful curiosity and intelligence. They are both loving dogs who enjoy companionship, routine, and a safe space to simply be themselves.
Ideal Home
A home with a securely fenced yard is essential for both Hawkeye and Remi, as it's where Hawkeye prefers to potty and explore, and Remi enjoys running.
Ongoing Health
Hawkeye has arthritis, which is managed with a Cosequin supplement. He also has laryngeal paralysis and requires a harness instead of a collar. Mid-afternoon heat should be avoided for outdoor activities. Remi has had occasional accidents when left loose in the morning and does best when crated during that time.
Training & Support
Remi is still learning leash skills and benefits from short daily walks. He occasionally has accidents in the morning if not crated, indicating a need for continued routine and supervision during that time.
