Meet Mila — Your Adventure-Loving Shadow!
Mila is a sweet three-year-old bi-color German Shepherd with a heart as big as her adorable personality. She sports one perfectly upright ear and one that prefers a more relaxed approach, which we think is just charming! Mila has never met a stranger and greets everyone like an old friend, thriving on human connection. If you’re looking for a dog who wants to be by your side, Mila is your girl. She’s incredibly affectionate, snuggly, and happiest when she can lean into you or curl up close.
Mila also has a playful side! She loves a good game of fetch and will happily retrieve her favorite bone for as long as you’re willing to throw it. Car rides are a favorite, and she’s always ready to hop in and join you for your next adventure, whether it’s a quick errand or a weekend outing. Walks are great too – Mila is wonderful on a leash.
In her foster home, Mila is a well-mannered companion. She currently lives with cats and does well sharing her space with them. She gets along nicely with other dogs and is housebroken, too. Mila is kennel trained, though she prefers not to spend long stretches confined and does best when her kennel time is limited to a few hours. She would love to find a home with a yard where she has plenty of space to play fetch.
Mila is the perfect blend of fun and affection—playful when it’s time to play, and a total cuddle bug when it’s time to relax. She’s ready to give her whole heart to a new family who will cherish her just as much as she’ll cherish them. If you’re looking for a loyal best friend who will stick by your side through everything, Mila is waiting to meet you.
Mila's current foster mom recently developed mobility challenges, and while Mila’s playful energy is part of what makes her so special, it has become more than she can safely manage. Wanting the very best for Mila, she knows Mila deserves a home where she can continue to enjoy an active, happy life.
Ideal Home
Mila would love a home with a yard where she has plenty of space to play fetch.
Ongoing Health
Like many dogs, Mila does have one sensitivity: loud noises like thunderstorms and fireworks can make her nervous. During those times, she’ll need a calm, reassuring presence and a safe, cozy space where she can feel secure.
Training & Support
Mila is housebroken and kennel trained, though she prefers limited kennel time. She is well-mannered in her foster home.
