Meet Slim! This seventy-pound Red Heeler is a charming and adventurous boy who's ready to find his forever family. Slim loves the great outdoors and is always up for a good time, whether it's camping, hiking, or splashing in the water. He's the perfect companion for anyone who enjoys an active lifestyle! While he can be a little reserved at first, Slim quickly warms up and becomes a social butterfly once he feels comfortable and secure.

Ideal Home

Slim would thrive in a home with a single, active person who can provide him with companionship and plenty of opportunities for adventure. He's looking for someone who understands his needs and can help him continue to build his confidence. While he gets along well with other dogs, he can be protective of his person and may have some difficulty with new people approaching them. Therefore, a home with a single person is recommended at this time.

Training & Support

Slim is house-trained and highly motivated by treats and food, making him a great candidate for continued training. He has made great progress in socialization thanks to his dedicated foster, and with consistent guidance from his new person, his fear of aggressive behavior should fade. As a herding breed, he has natural herding tendencies, so keeping him active and engaged will be key to his happiness.
