Addie is a 4.5-year-old, spayed female Pitbull Terrier mix weighing around 45 pounds. She was rescued from the streets of a neighborhood notorious for pet abandonment, arriving severely underweight and with significant skin issues from mange. Despite a tough start, Addie is a sweet, gentle soul who is eager to learn what it's like to be a cherished house dog. She's a quick learner and is already showing great promise in her foster home, embracing her new lease on life with enthusiasm. Addie is overflowing with love for those she trusts and is a testament to the incredible resilience of dogs.
Ideal Home
Addie would thrive in a home with a yard where she can roam and enjoy playtime. She's looking for a male dog sibling to snuggle with and share her "Soft Life Era" on plenty of couches. While she may do well with children who understand animal behavior cues, she might be happiest with older, calmer pre-teens and teenagers.
Ongoing Health
Addie was treated for mange and has recovered well. She is also spayed.
Training & Support
Addie is crate trained and sleeps well in her crate. She has not had any accidents when trusted to be loose in the house, but may have occasional accidents as she settles into a new routine. She is very food-motivated and will try to eat other pets' food, so she needs to be fed separately. She is improving with this as she realizes she will receive her own meal. While she's not a highly playful dog, she enjoys interacting with male dogs of similar or larger size, learning cues to end playtime. She is curious about female dogs but hasn't found a playmate yet.
