Nora is a bright-eyed, 2-year-old Caramelo Dog / Labrador Retriever mix with a heart as warm as her caramel-colored coat. Weighing in at 32 pounds, she's a bundle of joy and an endless love for life. Nora is incredibly social and friendly, easily making friends with dogs, children, men, and women alike. She's a whirlwind of happy energy, always ready for a good run, a playful romp, or any adventure that keeps her active. Her past, sadly, began on the tough streets of Houston where she and her sisters were found as vulnerable 3-month-old puppies. They faced unimaginable hardship, and tragically, two of Nora's sisters were lost before she and her surviving sister could be rescued and given a chance at a safe, loving life. Despite her challenging beginnings, Nora has blossomed into a resilient, affectionate, and spirited dog who is eager to leave her past behind and find her forever family. She dreams of a home where she can feel secure, cherished, and free to embrace the happy, playful dog she was always meant to be.
Ideal Home
Nora would thrive in a home that embraces an active lifestyle and can provide her with plenty of opportunities for playtime and attention. A family that enjoys outdoor activities would be a perfect match for her energetic spirit.
Ongoing Health
Nora has received a spay/neuter procedure, DHPPI and Rabies vaccines, and a Bordetella vaccine. She has also been dewormed, received a heartworm test with a certificate, and has a health certificate and vaccine booklet.
Training & Support
Nora is not yet house-trained, and this is an area that will require patience and consistency. Her rescue background means she benefits greatly from adopters with experience in dog behavior and training, a high tolerance for rescued animals, and a commitment to their ongoing education and protection.
