Meet Idgie, a beautiful 3-year-old Catahoula Leopard Dog mix who weighs about 62 pounds. She's spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and completely up-to-date on all her care, making her ready to embark on her journey to a forever home. Idgie possesses a quiet charm that draws you in with her striking looks and soulful eyes. She truly enjoys having a canine companion and does wonderfully with other dogs her size. People, however, are her absolute favorite, and she's also known to be cat-friendly. Idgie has experience with children of various ages and has always been calm and gentle around them, showcasing her steady temperament as a great fit for a family environment.
Ideal Home
Idgie is an easy and respectful housemate who loves her cozy routine and being near her people. She is fully housebroken and crate trained, capable of settling in her crate for up to nine hours, and sleeps peacefully through the night. Because Idgie can be a bit of an escape artist, a yard with at least 6-foot fencing is recommended.
Ongoing Health
Idgie is spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped, with all her care completely up-to-date.
Training & Support
Idgie has shown some resource guarding around her meals, so she is fed separately from other pets. She has no issues with treats, toys, or bones, just her food bowl. With simple management at mealtime, she continues to thrive and show what a well-mannered girl she is. While Idgie can get the occasional burst of zoomies, she enjoys playtime but equally loves long naps and cuddling. She’s smart, a little serious at first, and incredibly loving once she feels secure.
