Maximus is a handsome Lab mix who is approximately 14 months old and weighs 66 pounds. He's a smart, loyal, and brave boy who is always up for an adventure! Maximus loves to romp with other dogs, investigate squeaky toys, and is eager to be a devoted companion by your side. He was surrendered to us after an attack by another dog, which left his previous owners unable to cover his medical bills. Maximus bravely fought through his recovery and is now fully healed, neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on vaccinations. He's a social and playful guy who enjoys the company of both male and female dogs. Maximus is deeply loyal and wants nothing more than to connect with his new family. He's discovering the simple joys of being a happy dog and is ready to be your loyal sidekick, enthusiastic hiking partner, determined couch protector, and best friend.

Transportation
Maximus is located in the Houston area and transport can be arranged to a location near you. This service is provided by AJC Rescue & Transport via air-conditioned/heated vans with a team of two drivers. You will be included in a group chat to track your dog's progress during transport and will receive updates on their estimated arrival time. Dogs on transport will stop for breaks, and are crated for safety. The adoption fee is $350, plus $30 for a health certificate and $260 for transport.
