Mickie is a sweet, intelligent, and social Chihuahua mix who is approximately 2 years and 7 months old and weighs 18.7 lbs. He enjoys being around people and other dogs, and while he may be a little reserved initially, he quickly warms up and shows his affectionate side. Mickie loves to run, play, go for walks, and spend quality time with his humans. He's obedient, playful, and loving, getting along well with dogs, children, men, and women. Mickie sleeps in his crate and thrives on a routine. He is eager to bond and will be a loyal member of his forever family.
Ideal Home
Mickie would thrive in a home with a fenced backyard, an active family that enjoys outdoor activities, and individuals with a genuine intention to rescue a dog. He would do best with a family who understands the needs of rescued animals and is willing to provide protection and education. Experience in dog behavior and training is preferred, or a commitment to hiring a trainer. High tolerance and patience are essential, especially as Mickie is not house-trained.

Mickie has undergone a comprehensive health protocol including: spay/neuter certificate, two DHPPI vaccinations, rabies vaccine, Bordetella vaccine, deworming, microchip, 4DX test and certificate, negative heartworm test certificate, monthly Nexgard Spectra preventive protection, and a health certificate with a vaccine booklet.
Training & Support
Mickie is not house-trained and requires patience and understanding as he adjusts to a new environment. It's important to provide a safe and loving space, establish a routine, and set clear boundaries to help him feel secure. Owners should be prepared to work on training and potentially hire a professional trainer.

Transporation
Mickie is currently being fostered in Saltillo, Mexico, and is ready to travel to the East Coast. Door-to-door delivery is available through a partnered transport company. This service is scheduled 3-4 times per year with a fee of $400 USD. The transport includes all necessary legal documents, USDA health certificates, and real-time updates throughout the journey.
