PJ, affectionately known as Peach, Peachy Keen, is a resilient and loving boy who is approximately 4-5 years old and appears to be a pit bull mix, possibly with King Corso. He's white with brown spots and has overcome a tragic past. Surrendered in a severely emaciated, anemic, and dehydrated state, covered in wounds and living in his own waste, PJ's survival was uncertain. However, he is a true fighter and has made a remarkable recovery, now embodying pure joy for life. He's both snuggly and content to relax by your feet with his toys. PJ thrives on new experiences and loves paddleboarding, boating, splashing in the creek, hiking, and going for car rides. He enjoys visiting pet stores and parks, happily interacting with humans and other dogs. Socialization and quality time are very important to him. PJ remained calm during fireworks and handled busy environments like downtown Grand Rapids and Holland during Tulip Time with ease. He has shown to be good with children and cats, offering a gentle sniff and boop to felines while respecting their boundaries. PJ is house-trained, can free-roam, and learns commands quickly. He is not food or toy aggressive.
Ideal Home
PJ would thrive in a home with other animals and a family that can dedicate quality time to him and is eager to take him on adventures. He experiences sadness and vocalizes when left completely alone, which is understandable given his past trauma.
Ongoing Health
PJ has dry eye and requires daily eye drops. He also receives a skin allergy shot.
