Meet Cleo! This sweet and spirited 2-year-old Black Mouth Cur mix has overcome so much. Abandoned and a new mama, Cleo bravely battled heartworms, remaining an absolute angel throughout it all. She's now ready to find her forever family after ensuring her eight puppies were safe and sound.
Cleo is a young, playful girl full of happy energy. She loves meeting new dog friends and her joyful personality makes her a delight to be around. She's house-trained, walks beautifully on a leash, and is a truly fabulous companion.
Ideal Home
Cleo would thrive in a home with a securely fenced yard, as she's an accomplished jumper capable of clearing a 4-foot fence! She's looking for a family ready to offer her the love and stability she deserves. Due to her size and playful nature, older children would be the best fit. Cleo gets excited by bicycles and motorcycles, so she'll need a confident handler who can manage her on walks. She can also be a little unsure when left alone for long periods, so a family that can help her build confidence and reassure her will be ideal. She has not been cat-tested and shows too much interest in cats she sees from afar.
Ongoing Health
Cleo has been treated for heartworms. All our dogs are cleared by a licensed veterinarian for transport and arrive spayed/neutered with age-appropriate vaccines completed and are microchipped.
Training & Support
Cleo is house-trained and walks nicely on a leash. She may need continued support to build confidence when left alone and to manage her excitement around bicycles and motorcycles.
