Iris

Iris is a 3-year-old Retriever mix, weighing around 34 lbs. She has a soft, gentle spirit and a heart that’s slowly learning to trust. Iris came to us very scared and unsure, but with time, patience, and kind interactions, she’s begun to open up and show her true, sweet nature. She’s a shy and timid girl who bonds deeply once she feels safe. Iris may take a little time to warm up, but when she does, her affectionate side shines through in the most rewarding way. She’s the kind of dog who will quietly become your shadow and form a strong, meaningful connection with her person.

Iris would do best in a calm, patient home with someone who understands that trust takes time.

• We adopt to families with children.
• No fenced-in yard is required.
• Due to import regulations, we are not able to adopt to MA or RI residents at this time.

Transporation

Iris is located at our shelter, and transport is available to CT, MD, NJ, NY, PA, VA, GA, and TN. Transports are arranged for specific dates, typically within 1-3 weeks of approving your application. Adopters will meet at a designated meeting spot to pick up their new companions.
