Meet Rachel, a sweet 58lb Pitbull mix with an estimated birthday of June 2, 2022. Rachel is a gentle soul who absolutely adores people and believes every day is better when spent with her favorite humans. She loves cuddles and is happiest when she's by your side. Rachel had a wonderful time at a recent adoption event, happily soaking up attention from everyone she met – kids, adults, and strangers alike! Her petite size and short legs have earned her the adorable nickname "Pocket Pittie," and she's as approachable as she is cute. Rachel is also kennel trained, making her a pretty easy roommate, and her laid-back personality allows her to fit into many different home environments. While she enjoys the company of other dogs, Rachel prefers to take her time getting to know them with proper introductions, ensuring she only makes the best canine friends. - Applications start by contacting us through Wags.
- We coordinate with multiple transport services that operate weekly to Eastern states and bi-weekly or monthly to Western states from Texas to your state or a neighboring state.
- Each adopter has the ability to track the van using the app Life360, and receives updates from transport along the way. Facebook chats are another resource to stay informed on tracking dogs on transport.
- Our adoption fees are based on the vetting we put into each dog. Fees for puppies (under 12 months) are higher because they require more vetting than dogs over 1 year.
- Listed breed and age are based on a best guess estimation by rescue and veterinary staff; DNA tests are not included in adoption.
- Our adopters are eligible to receive 50% off training with Curbed Behaviors Dog Training for programs booked within 30 days of adoption, and 25% off programs booked within 60-90 days of adoption.
- All of our adopters are invited to join our Alum Pupdates Facebook group, to share their story and their adorable pup with fellow Sunnyside Street Dogs adopters!

Rachel is located in Houston, TX. Transport is included with adoption. Pickup locations of transported dogs may vary, including to nearby towns or states.
