Meet Rip, a handsome 3-year-old, 80-pound German Shepherd with a heart as big as he is! He's a gentle giant who absolutely adores people, kids, dogs, and especially cats. Rip is currently recovering from a car accident and is on activity restrictions, but even with limited freedom, his playful and loving personality shines through. He's a kennel and potty-trained boy who rides well in the car and has been wonderful in his foster home. Outside, he's unfazed by neighborhood commotion. While he may not know many commands yet, he's eager for love, attention, and a family to call his own. If you're looking for a sweet, loyal companion who just wants to be close to his people (and maybe some cats too), Rip may be your perfect match.

Ideal Home

Rip would love a home where he can be close to his people. He gets along wonderfully with children and cats.

Ongoing Health

Rip is recovering from surgery after being hit by a car. He will not be adopted out until he has completely recovered.

Training & Support

Rip is kennel and potty trained. He is eager to learn commands and would benefit from continued positive reinforcement training.
