Ferrari, a charming 3-year-old, 50-pound pup, is a delightful companion with a medium energy level. He enjoys leisurely naps, basking in the sun, and observing his humans go about their day. Ferrari is reported to be friendly with dogs, cats, and children. He tends to ignore cats and shows a happy excitement when he sees a school bus, hinting at a history of being around kids. Ferrari is generally quiet, with bursts of activity for walks and meal times. He can sometimes feel a bit lonely when left alone, but his foster family is actively working on this. He's a well-behaved boy who respects his toys and has never caused any damage. Ferrari is a smart cookie, already knowing commands like "sit," "lie down," and "come," and he's eager to learn more! While he's still perfecting his leash manners, he's making great progress. He absolutely adores car rides, giving hugs, and meeting new people – he greets everyone like an old friend! Ferrari also enjoys long hikes and is a quick learner. He does tend to overheat easily, so he'll need some protective clothing and water when temperatures rise above 80°F. He's happy to carry his own water in his backpack during hikes, and during shorter walks in warm weather, a water bottle is helpful. He's also comfortable in his crate if you need to be away for a bit. Ferrari is house-trained and crate-trained, though he may vocalize if left alone in his crate initially. He'd be a wonderful addition to a busy family or one where someone is home more often.

Ferrari would be a perfect dog for a busy family, as well as would love a family that spends home most of the day.
Ongoing Health
Ferrari gets overheated easily, so he will need protection from the heat when it's above 80F, including some sort of clothing and water.
Training & Support
Ferrari sometimes cries when left alone and his foster family is working on it. A little reasoning with a calm voice helps when he is in his crate. He is not perfect on leash yet, but is getting better each day. He is ready to learn more commands.
