He's built like the perfect walking companion and lives for excitement! Think long hikes, fetch marathons, snow days, swimming, and boat rides – if it's an adventure, JJ is there. He's especially enthusiastic when shoes come out, signaling it's time for fun! After a day of activity, JJ is content to relax, snuggle on the couch, or simply keep you company.

JJ bonds quickly with men and thrives under calm, confident leadership. He responds well to structure and forms deep connections with his person. He'd be happy as a solo companion or with another dog, but a cat-free home is ideal due to his prey drive. He's best suited for an adult home or one with calm older teens.

Training & Support

JJ is a smart cookie who already knows a solid set of commands. He's gentle-lead trained and comes when called. He is fully potty trained and crate trained, meaning he can be trusted to free-roam the house without issue. He's respectful of space, not destructive, doesn't resource guard, and sleeps soundly through the night. He's affectionate without being pushy and loyal without being clingy – just a truly good dog. He is calm around loud noises like trucks, motorcycles, thunder, and fireworks, though he will alert you to new people or dogs before settling.

Transportation

JJ is currently located in Texas. We offer transport services across the US to various locations, including WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, and Canada. Canadian adopters will need to pick up in Bellingham, WA, or Brattleboro, VT. Our USDA-licensed vehicles provide 24/7 care during transport. An additional $87 surcharge for transport applies due to rising fuel costs.
