Meet Lil Guy Lou, a goofy, lanky boy who embodies the definition of happy-go-lucky! Lou is a social butterfly and a playgroup rockstar, currently thriving in a wonderful foster home where he's become everyone's favorite companion. His sweet personality, playful spirit, and endless love for both people and dogs make him a true joy to be around.

Ideal Home

Lou absolutely adores other dogs and would truly flourish in a home with a confident canine sibling to be his playmate and best friend. Having another dog around helps him feel secure and brings out his happiest, most relaxed self. At home, he's a loyal shadow who loves being close to his people, whether you're working from home, relaxing on the couch, or heading out for an adventure. He enjoys staying active and is an excellent walking and running partner. He has done great free roaming in the foster home when they leave.

Ongoing Health

Lou is up-to-date on all vetting, including DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad-spectrum deworming treatments, and flea prevention. He has received a 12-month heartworm preventative injectable and a heartworm test.

Training & Support

Lou doesn't care much for the crate. He has been assessed by trainers on staff, and behavior has been modified as needed. He has received individualized behavior plans to help prepare him for his future family, including leash walking. His foster is able to attend group training and socialization play groups.

Transporation

Lou is located in Texas. We facilitate adoptions nationwide using our rescue run USDA certified transport system, ensuring every pet travels safely and comfortably with 24/7 care. Our transport includes drop-off locations in WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT, TN, KY, WI, MN, IL, WI and Canada. For Canadian adopters, pick-up is in Bellingham, WA, Buffalo, NY, or Brattleboro, VT. Texas adopters must pick up from the Houston area.
