Aranza

Aranza is a charming 4-year-old Chihuahua mix, weighing around 14 lbs, who is dreaming of a loving forever home. She was rescued in Matamoros, Mexico, after being found wandering alone. Aranza was quite thin and suffering from scabies at the time, but with dedicated veterinary care, good food, and plenty of affection from her foster family, she has made a remarkable recovery.

Now, Aranza is a happy, healthy, and affectionate girl with a gentle and loving nature. She's docile, enjoys playtime, and truly loves to cuddle and snuggle with her favorite people. Aranza forms strong bonds and thrives on close companionship. She's also great with children and friendly towards other dogs, making her a versatile addition to many households. Walks are a delight for her, as is car rides, where she travels calmly. After all she's endured, Aranza truly deserves a family that can offer her the safety, love, and stability she's been missing. Ideal Home

• Experience with dog behavior and training, or a willingness to hire a professional trainer, is highly recommended.
• A high tolerance and patience for rescued dogs is essential.

Training & Support

It's important to understand that rescued dogs may require an adjustment period in a new home due to past experiences. Patience, understanding, and establishing a routine with clear boundaries are crucial for Aranza to build trust and feel secure. She is not currently house-trained, and this will require time and consistent effort from her new family.

Applications start by contacting us through Wags. The process includes:

• Filling out an adoption form.
• Providing photos/videos of your home to ensure it's a safe environment.
• A potential call or video chat to introduce you to the pet and conduct a virtual home tour.
• Reference checks.
• Signing an adoption contract and paying the adoption fee, which helps cover veterinary care, spay/neuter, vaccines, microchip, food, and more.

Transportation

Aranza is currently being fostered in Matamoros, Mexico, and is ready to travel to her new home. Door-to-door delivery is available through scheduled trips (3-4 per year) with a contracted transport company. A transport fee of $400 USD applies. The transport process includes real-time updates and a final home review upon arrival.
