Fig

Fig is a sweet 2-year-old Pit Bull Terrier Mix who feels everything deeply. She was never taught how to exist in the world and struggles with impulse control and can become easily overstimulated. Despite this, Fig is trying her best to learn! She is dog selective and does best with large, neutral, tolerant male dogs, as she is still learning how to communicate appropriately with other dogs. Fig can be unsure at first and needs time, space, and patience to build trust. Once she feels safe, her playful and affectionate personality truly shines.

Ideal Home

Fig needs a very experienced owner or foster who can provide a calm, structured environment. She would do best in a home with no small children or cats/small animals. Fig doesn’t need perfection; she needs someone willing to teach her what she was never shown, as she’s just been on her own for too long.

Ongoing Health

Fig is spayed and vaccinated.

Training & Support

Fig struggles with impulse control and can become easily overstimulated due to poor early socialization. She is still learning how to communicate appropriately with other dogs. Patience and a willingness to teach her are key to her success.
