About Gracie

Gracie is an 11-year-old pit-mix who, despite her age, has the heart and outlook of a puppy! She was previously adopted from us at age 9 but was recently returned due to a change in her adopter's life. Gracie is a fantastic ambassador for her breed, always sporting a smile and a wagging tail, and brimming with curiosity. She's easygoing, highly motivated by food and affection, and happy to either relax at home or explore the neighborhood with you. Gracie is also a wonderful companion for errands and absolutely loves car rides!

This "chonky" girl has enjoyed a summer of swimming and exploring Lake Union. While her Lab side loves to swim, her pittie side suggests a flotation vest for safety. She's a retriever at heart, bringing back balls, sticks, and even logs, though she might need some persuasion to give them up once on shore. Gracie is always ready for attention, especially if belly rubs are involved – and she's incredibly soft!

Ideal Home

Gracie would love a home where she can soak up all the attention and would prefer to be the only pet. Due to some developing aches and pains, we recommend a home without young children. A backyard would be a wonderful addition to her living space.

Ongoing Health

Gracie has a couple of health considerations: arthritis, for which she takes daily medication that is not very expensive, and some spondylosis (stiffness) in her spine. These conditions do not slow her down or diminish her capacity for love! She is spayed, microchipped, and fully vaccinated.

Training & Support

Gracie is a food and affection-motivated dog, which can be a great starting point for continued training and bonding.
