Georgey is an 11-month-old pup, weighing around 32 lbs. We believe he's a mix of Australian Kelpie with Lab or Catahoula, and he's definitely adorable! He was born on a ranch in south Texas, where he and his brother, Johnny, were surrendered. Georgey has been in foster care since March 2025. He's a goofy and pleaser pup who loves to be accepted by other dogs, being more submissive than most. He enjoys his toys and playing in the yard, and he's a very relaxed and easy-going boy who would fit in almost any household. He loves to be around his people and will follow you around, always trying to please.
Ideal Home
Georgey would love a home with another dog or dogs to play with, a kiddie pool full of water to lay in, and opportunities for walks to explore new sights and smells. He would be truly great for most types of households. He gets a little jealous when other dogs are playing and he's kenneled, making sad whimpering sounds to be let out. Tough toys are a must, as he loves his toys so much he'd rather have 20 pieces of one toy than just one!
Ongoing Health
Georgey is fixed, heartworm positive (has received the 30-day course of antibiotics and needs to stay on heartworm prevention for 12-16 months and be retested then), current on age-appropriate vaccinations, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, microchipped, and current on de-wormer. He will receive a clean bill of health from a licensed veterinarian prior to transport.
Training & Support
Georgey is a pleaser and loves being accepted by other dogs. He is all around a very relaxed and easy-going boy.

Transportation
Georgey is currently located in Texas but is available for transport to the Central US and the East Coast. Transport to the following locations is available every 2-3 weeks: Albany, NY; Wells, VT and Brattleboro, VT; Nashua, NH; Willington, CT, Stamford, CT, and Dayville, CT; Steubenville, OH, Cincinnati, OH, and Grove City, OH; Ridgefield, NJ and Mt Laurel, NJ; Emmitsburg, MD and Elkton, MD; Falls Church, VA and Glenn Allen, VA.
