Howdy, partner! I'm Jamie, a one-year-old mix with a heart full of love and a wagging tail ready to find my forever cowboy or cowgirl. My journey started a little rough, as I spent my early days in a garage with my siblings, feeling scared and unsure of the world and people. But then, I met my foster dad, and he showed me how truly amazing life can be!
Now, you'll find me rocking my "cowboy hat" (my foster dad's terms!) at breweries, coffee shops, restaurants, and pretty much everywhere my foster dad goes. I've discovered I'm a bit of a star, and I love the attention just as much as the people love me. I've come so far from that timid pup, and I'm now the friendly face that greets everyone with enthusiasm and makes friends wherever I go.
I'm a 60-pound shadow who thrives on being by your side. Whether it's couch cuddles, joining you on errands, or embarking on a long hike (just expect a signature tongue-out nap afterward!), I'm your guy. I have the perfect balance of energy, enjoying playtime with my stuffed pony or a game of fetch, but I'm equally content just chilling with you.
I'm a gentleman on leash, I know "sit" and "stay," I'm house-trained, and I even know how to use a doggy door. I'm also crate-trained, though I'd much prefer snuggling up next to you. I absolutely love other dogs and enjoy playing with them. Even when other dogs have been less than kind, I've never retaliated – I truly don't have a mean bone in my body!
Ideal Home
I'm looking for a home where I can be a cherished part of the family. Ideally, this would be with someone who is home often or has a yard where I can hang out. I haven't been tested with cats, so if you have one, we'll need to see how we get along!
Ongoing Health
No specific health concerns were mentioned in my listing.
Training & Support
I'm house-trained, crate-trained, and walk well on a leash. I know "sit" and "stay." I'm very food-motivated, which makes training a breeze! I love to play with toys but promise not to destroy them.
