Mavis is a gentle and friendly girl, born around February 2024. She spent the early part of her life in a remote farmhouse with a loving elderly owner. When her owner was evicted, Mavis found herself needing a new beginning. Despite the changes, she has remained sweet and affectionate with people, enjoying attention and staying close to her humans. She can be a bit reserved around new dogs, so she might do well as an only dog to soak up all the love. Alternatively, she could thrive in a home with another dog if introductions are slow, thoughtful, and guided by someone experienced. Mavis has recently learned to walk on a leash and is comfortable in a crate, showing great progress. She just needs a little patience and a calm environment to feel secure. Mavis's bond with her people will grow stronger over time, transforming her initial caution into deep loyalty. She's a beautiful girl with a kind heart, deserving of a safe and loving forever home.
