Meet Bonbon, a charming 2-year-old Poodle-Chihuahua mix who weighs around 13 pounds. This little dog has a personality as big as his loyalty! Bonbon can be a bit shy when first meeting new people, but once he feels secure, his loving and protective nature truly blossoms. He might give a little bark to let you know someone new is around, but it's just his way of looking out for his people. Bonbon is a social butterfly and gets along wonderfully with cats, other dogs, children, and adults. With a little patience, he'll quickly become your sweet and affectionate shadow.
Bonbon's journey is a testament to his resilience. He was found as a stray, dirty and flea-covered, but his loving spirit remained strong through it all. Now safe and sound, Bonbon is eagerly waiting for a family to provide him with the stability and love he deserves. He'd be a perfect fit for an active household that appreciates a devoted companion who's always happy to see them and stay close by.
Ideal Home
Bonbon would thrive in a home with a fenced backyard. An active family who enjoys outdoor activities would be a great match. Potential adopters should have an open mind regarding the behaviors of rescued street animals, understanding their need for protection and education. Experience with dog behavior and training, along with high tolerance and patience for rescued pups, is preferred.
Ongoing Health
Bonbon has received spay/neuter surgery, DHPPI and Rabies vaccines, Bordetella vaccine, deworming, a negative heartworm test, and a health certificate. He comes with a vaccination booklet.
Training & Support
Bonbon is not house-trained. The rescue works diligently to provide extensive rehabilitation for their animals, and due to the sheer number of fosters, house-training each one is not feasible. They are looking for adopters who understand this and are prepared to continue his training and provide ongoing support.
