Lucy is a delightful 5-year-old, 31 lb Australian Cattle Dog with a heart full of love to give! She was rescued by Kind Spirits Rescue Dogs Pet Lifeline after living on a chain. Her previous owner allowed us to spay her, and after her surgery, they gifted her to us. Now, Lucy is flourishing in a private foster home in Texas with eight other dogs, experiencing the joys of being loved and included. She's a cute, smaller-sized Blue Heeler who is loyal, observant, and smart, though she can be a little bossy with some dogs. Despite that, she's generally mellow and easygoing, ready to shower her people with affection without being needy.
Ideal Home
Lucy would thrive in a home with someone familiar with herding breeds. She's playful with most dogs, but if she doesn't like a dog, she might nip at their heels – a classic Heeler trait! She has so far ignored cats and is a bit quirky around small dogs.
Ongoing Health
Lucy has been spayed, is microchipped, healthy, and up to date on all her vaccines and preventions.
Training & Support
Lucy is potty trained, crate trained (though she prefers to be near you!), and leash trained. She walks nicely in public and is a great car rider. Her "typical Heeler behavior" includes supervising everyone, following her people from room to room, and giving dramatic side-eye when judging your life choices – classic side-eye included at no extra charge! She can be timid with new people and needs a little time to warm up.
