Nona is a charming 1-year-old, 50 lb spayed female Staffie mix who's blossoming into her wonderful personality. She's in her "older puppy era," full of playful energy, growing confidence, and a boundless joy for life. Nona is built like a sturdy little tank with a short, powerful frame, and it's a delight to watch her hop onto the couch or sprint to keep up with her longer-legged foster siblings. Don't let her low profile fool you – she's fast and loves a good zoomie in the yard! She greets her foster mom with enthusiastic leaps and showers her people with affection, her whole body wiggling with excitement. Nona is a social butterfly, enjoying strolls and meeting new doggy pals and friendly strangers. She recently did wonderfully when meeting a small child. Nona has a lovable stubborn streak and a great sense of humor, often playfully nibbling chins and offering to share her toys. She's incredibly clever and loves puzzle toys and navigating obstacle courses. Highly motivated by both toys and treats, training is a joy with Nona. She's mastered "sit" and is working on leash manners, enjoying walks of up to 2-3 miles. While she may not love car rides, she's a delightful companion once she arrives. Nona is fully crate trained, sleeps soundly overnight, and is doing great with potty training, just needing continued reinforcement of her routine. She's a bit of a shy watchdog and will alert you to unfamiliar sounds or sights. Her adorable underbite adds to her many cute, goofy expressions. Nona is dog-friendly and gets along well with her foster siblings and uncle, but would do best with a canine companion who respects personal space and is happy to share attention. She hasn't been around cats or children in a home environment, but based on her personality, she'd likely do well in a calm home with respectful, well-mannered children who understand how to interact with an older puppy. She would thrive with a confident canine friend to learn from but would also be content as the sole furry recipient of your affection. Nona is expected to grow into a sturdy, medium-to-large-sized dog. Transporation

Nona is currently located in Texas but can transport out of state when matched with an approved adopter. Transportation is included in the adoption donation.
