Dewey

Dewey is a 4.5-month-old, 25 lb male Blue Heeler/Coonhound mix. This spotted rascal came to the rescue after being sadly abandoned. Thankfully, Dewey's puppy charm helped him find a foster home where he's been learning the ropes of being a good boy. He's already crate trained and doing wonderfully with potty training. Dewey enjoys all things puppy, from romping in the yard and sniffing the resident cats to playing with his canine sibling and chasing toys. He's a sweet and affectionate pup who loves to give kisses. Dewey is still learning to differentiate between his chew toys and your shoes, but he's a smart cookie and learns quickly. While generally brave, he can be startled by loud noises. He's also working on his leash manners, though he'd much rather have the freedom to explore outdoors. Dewey is beginning to grasp basic obedience and shows great promise. As a hound mix, he would thrive in a home with a secure, fenced yard and an owner who can provide a good balance of activity for exploration and playtime, followed by cozy snuggles.

Dewey will be neutered prior to transport.

Training & Support

Dewey is still learning the difference between chew toys and shoes. He is beginning to work on his leash manners and learning basic obedience.
