Hi there! My name is Herman, but my friends call me Hermie! I'm a handsome 2.5-year-old blonde Lab mix weighing about 50 pounds. I'm the perfect combination of adventure buddy and cuddle companion, and I'm ready to find my forever family.
My absolute favorite place to be is outside. I love exploring, playing fetch, and soaking up all the sights and smells the world has to offer. My nose is always busy because I'm curious about everything! I'm an active guy who enjoys running and playing, but I stay close to my people and don't tend to wander off. Car rides are another favorite of mine – if there's an adventure involved, count me in!
One thing you should know about me: I absolutely love water. Whether it's a bath, a shower, or splashing around in a pool where I can touch the ground, I'm all in. Water is one of my favorite ways to cool off and have fun.
When playtime is over, I'm happy to settle down for some quality cuddle time. I love being close to my people, soaking up pets and attention. I also enjoy chew bones and, if you'll let me, sleeping near my favorite human.
Ideal Home
I'm a smart, affectionate boy who would benefit from continued training to help me manage my excitement, especially when meeting new people. Sometimes I get so happy that I forget my manners and jump up to say hello! Because of my enthusiasm, a home with older children would be the best fit. I strongly dislike being crated. Fortunately, I'm very well-mannered when left in a safe, dog-proofed space and do much better when given a little freedom.

I get along wonderfully with other dogs and would likely thrive with a canine companion to play and hang out with. Dogs of all sizes and breeds are potential friends in my book! I need continued training to help me manage my excitement and jumping when meeting new people.
