Cesar is an 85 lb snuggler with a heart of gold! This handsome boy was born on February 10, 2021. He's a people-pleaser who loves everyone, including men, women, and children. Cesar has a varied energy level; he enjoys playtime and running but isn't overly athletic. He is incredibly affectionate, always ready for hugs and kisses, and loves to snuggle up close, often resting his head on your chest. Cesar is a gentle giant, quiet except when he needs to go outside, and he enjoys being praised. He's a smart boy who isn't overly curious but is very brave and protective, having shielded his previous person from difficult situations. Cesar enjoys being sung to, playing with stuffed animals, and a good game of tug-of-war. He dislikes angry yelling or screaming. His warm and comforting presence makes him truly unique. He is house-trained and crate-trained and does not suffer from storm or separation anxiety. Cesar is comfortable being independent or alone, though he does like to be close to his people. He is good on a leash, though his experience has been limited to acreage. Car rides are a definite favorite! He has a high food drive and loves treats, happily accepting anything you might share from your plate, and he would never snatch food. His prey drive is standard. Cesar came to us as an owner-surrender; his previous owner loves him dearly but could no longer provide the space he needed due to her own extensive animal care responsibilities. He is currently residing in boarding.
Ideal Home
Cesar would thrive in a home with a good fenced yard, a comfy bed indoors, and plenty of love to give. He would also benefit from a home where he can continue to learn about interacting with other dogs, as his previous experience is limited. Proper introductions will be a must to ensure his comfort.

Cesar is house-trained and crate-trained. He is good on a leash, but his experience has been limited, so continued practice will be beneficial. He dislikes angry yelling or screaming and would do best in a calm environment.
