Aranza

Aranza is a charming 4-year-old Chihuahua mix, weighing around 14 lbs, who is eagerly awaiting her chance to experience a lifetime of love and security. She was found as a stray in Matamoros, Mexico, in November 2023 and was quite thin and suffering from scabies. Thankfully, with dedicated veterinary care, nutritious food, and the warmth of a foster home, Aranza has made a remarkable recovery.

Now, Aranza is a happy, healthy, and incredibly affectionate girl. She's gentle, sweet, and loves nothing more than to snuggle up close with her favorite people. She forms deep connections and thrives on companionship. Aranza is also known to be great with children and friendly towards other dogs, making her a potentially wonderful addition to many families. She enjoys her walks, exploring new sights and smells, and is a calm passenger during car rides. After facing such challenges, Aranza truly deserves a family that can provide the safety, love, and stability she's always deserved. Ideal Home

Aranza would thrive in a home with an active family who enjoys outdoor activities and has a fenced backyard. Families who are genuinely committed to rescue and understand the unique needs of street animals, including providing protection and education, are ideal. Experience with dog behavior and training is preferred, or a willingness to hire a trainer. High tolerance and patience for a rescued dog are essential.

Ongoing Health

Aranza has undergone a comprehensive health protocol, including: spay/neuter certificate, 2 DHPPI vaccines, rabies vaccine, Bordetella vaccine, deworming, microchipping, a 4DX test and certificate, negative heartworm test certificate, and is on monthly Nexgard Spectra preventive protection for fleas, ticks, and heartworm. She also has a health certificate and vaccination booklet.

Training & Support

It's important to understand that rescued dogs may have fears and anxieties due to past experiences and will need time to adjust to a new environment. Patience, understanding, and establishing a routine with clear boundaries will be crucial in building trust and a strong bond with Aranza. She is not house-trained and will require dedicated training and patience in this area.

Transportation

Aranza is currently being fostered in Matamoros, Mexico, and is ready to travel to her forever home. Transportation is available through scheduled trips, with a contracted company that handles cross-border transport to the US and Canada. A transport fee of $400 USD applies. You will receive real-time updates throughout the journey, and the transport team will deliver your new companion directly to your home.
